Frequently Asked Questions about the map

Are all the locations on Find Modern Movement Architecture on the Map! publicly accessible?

Not necessarily. It is up to you to determine if any given location is one you can physically visit.

How do you choose locations for each building/site? or The location is wrong!

Placing historical buildings/sites on a map can be tricky. We choose locations based on what we think makes the most sense. Sometimes we get it wrong (and sometimes there is no "right" answer). Feel free to email us at ddocomomo@tecnico.ulisboa.pt with suggestions for improvement.

The “show current location” button does not work. or The map displays an incorrect position for my current location.

Browser geolocation is a relatively new technology. Some older web browsers may not be able to use this feature. Sometimes even the best, newest web browsers fail to load a correct location (or any location at all). Functionality depends on a number of additional factors, including the presence of conflicting browser plugins, network conditions, privacy settings, and more.
